Lecture Performance

Women Minor Speculations,  Sequence 1, aims to find a speculative form connecting material remains as evidentiary material, biographies of archaeologists, their objects and subjects of research (figurines, constellations, astral calendars, vampires, ceramics, music and gossip) appearing within a time span of 5000 years into the past and 5000 years into the future.  The project vibrates between historiography, documentary, object analysis, travel journal and speculative fiction. It takes as its building material memory, history, ghosts … where real and unreal objects of materials culture produce hallucinatory effects on public memory, technologies of memory storage, and the authorised discourse is skewed through minor histories, minor narratives, minor bits an pieces. The lecture performance is the first public disclosure of footage and materials for a future film.
